Send girls to school in rural Vietnam
Provide a girl in Vietnam with the chance to gain an education
As in many developing countries, education is “free” but the price of school fees and uniforms (usually about $250 a year) prevents many children from ever entering school. This amazing grassroots program was started by an Australian woman who lives in Hoi An, with a small staff of three Vietnamese women who place, guide and serve some 227 girls per year. They do in-depth screening to assess need, place girls in appropriate schools, interact with them and their teachers regularly, and facilitate written (translated) letters between each girl and her sponsor each year. CEF now is developing a program to enable more of their secondary school graduates to go on to university to obtain a Bachelor’s degree.
One girl: $240 Annual Sponsorship (or $20/month)
Two girls: $480 Annual Sponsorship (or $40/month)
Three girls: $720 Annual Sponsorship (or $60/month)
Four girls: $960 Annual Sponsorship (or $80/month)

Send young women to university in Vietnam
Give a woman in Vietnam the chance to attain higher education
Why support girls’ education? A better life for young women can mean many things. A girl who completes her schooling grows into a woman who is better able to look after her health and that of her children. By finishing school herself, she will care more that her children complete their education and be better able to support them while they are in school.
As a result of the skills and competencies a young woman has gained during her schooling, she will be better equipped to earn a living and have greater independence and dignity. An educated young woman is also at considerably less risk of becoming a victim of sex trafficking or ending up an imprisoned worker in a sweat shop.
One university girl: $800 Annual Sponsorship (or $67/month)
Two university girls: $1,600 Annual Sponsorship (or $133/month)
Three university girls: $2,400 Annual Sponsorship (or $200/month)
Four university girls: $3,200 Annual Sponsorship (or $267/month)

Send deaf and hearing impaired children to school in Vietnam
Lift a deaf child from a silent life on the kitchen floor to a school desk in a special program for the hearing impaired!
In Vietnam there are approximately 180,000 children with hearing loss. For many hearing-impaired children in Vietnam, education is not a possibility. This leads to social isolation, a lifetime of poverty and a very poor sense of self-worth, and yet so little effort is required to help even just one child. Hearing and Beyond, a small program started in 2008 by an Australian nurse, provides high-quality education to hearing-impaired children in Hoi An, in central Vietnam. Children otherwise left in the prison of their silence and with no future can now become vibrant, engaging kids who complete school with a chance to integrate into their communities and lead productive lives.
One child – $240 Annual Sponsorship ($20 per month)
Two children – $480 Annual Sponsorship ($40 per month)
Three children – $720 Annual Sponsorship ($60 per month)
Four children – $960 Annual Sponsorship ($80 per month)

Build a Library

Contribute to building a library in rural Nepal
One of the greatest gifts to give is the gift of the written word, and a sanctuary to read it
In September 2014, EduCaB Nepal launched the first pilot library project in Dandagaon village, 64 km West of Kathmandu. The local community provided the space and workforce for building the facility, and sponsored a designated librarian for certification training. EduCaB Nepal’s international partners managed the process and provided books and other educational materials for the new facility. Although the devastating earthquake of 2015 delayed implementation of the project, it also triggered the determination to rebuild destroyed communities in and around Dandagaon, and to move forward as quickly as possible with the library building. The Dandagaon Library was launched in January 2016.
